If your parents are too drunk to drive after a night at a bar, it’s probably best if you call a cab rather than drive them yourself. Especially if you’re a 13-year-old girl with no driving experience, and your 7-year-old brother is in the pickup too. No word on why the children accompanied their parents to the club in the first place. They probably couldn’t find a sitter.

Could be worse: the 13 year old could have been drunk too. Why yes, that is a very dark take.

What if I tell my cat to drive because I’m too high on meth?

Probably not a good idea. You know what happens when you let the cat drive.

I was driving around the farm at 12. So.. Really they should have started teaching her earlier and it wouldn’t have been a problem ;)

IIRC, many states have specific laws that allow kids younger than legal driving age to drive farm vehicles, at least on the farm property.

If it’s private property can they even say whether or not a kid can drive?

Maybe she was and they didn’t think to check. It would fit petty well with the rest of the story.

Which is why I prefaced my comment with “IIRC”. I may not.

It’s not legal where I live, but I’ve only ever heard of charges being laid when someone has gotten hurt.

I’ve already spent some time teach my daughter to drive so we’ll be ok when she has to drive us home.
